Mastering Your Teaching Skills 50h training

This course is a ticket to your own creativity. Leah taught me to trust my instinct and explore and find different words in cueing. I learned how to use my voice in different ways when I teach, how to work with inspiring texts and translate that into a theme and sequence. I can definitely recommend this course. It’s fun!!- Maaiyke Peys

Mastering Your Teaching Skills 50h training

- Rachelle Vingerhoeds

Mastering Your Teaching Skills 50h training

' -Anne Kluit
What I really liked about the master teacher training from Leah, was a lot of new inspiration and new appraoches to get my students into the yoga glow! I learned new ways to cue (to get off my usual things I said), to add a theme into my classes and great new ways to give nice hands on assisting. So if you need to master and refresh your teaching skills in an authentic way, I recommend you this lovely training!

Advanced Teacher Training :50 hr Hands on Assists INTENSIVE:

April 2019: I LOVED this study. One of the wonderful things in this training is that more than five senior teachers guide you into the rich world of Hands-on adjustments and assists. You get a lot of information and visions seen from different perspectives. The training is also very practical, there's a lot of opportunity to practice. You learn how, when and where to adjust. I also did the internship, and that gave me the opportunity to overcome my insecurity about touching at all and to finally start adjusting in my own classes. Teaching, keeping the flow going on, at the same time looking really and assisting was my biggest challenge. This advanced study gave me the tools to combine it all in my own classes. April 2019 What did you get out of this course? More confidence and knowledge to guide students in the lessons in their poses. The intention of touching is one of the highlights for me. Besides that I learned more how to teach students to 'grow' in their asana’s.What is the value for you as a teacher. You're working with a big variety of students/body's. So every adjustment and cue will be different in touch and words.Feeling more confident in adjusting. Would you recommend this study to others? It's really good to be critical to your own teachingbehaviour and intentions of adjustments. I learned a lot of practicing with other teachers in adjusting then just doing it in my own lessons. I got more confindence to adjust my students. yoga atelier- Harlem

Mastering Your Teaching Skills

Yoga Teacher/ corporate Yoga- I participated in this teacher training module in summer 2018 and found it to be a valuable and enriching experience. I particularly enjoyed the vocal exercises which expanded my range of cue vocabulary in a playful way. I learned how to weave a theme into my classes in a more unified manner so that it really translates in a meaningful way to the class participants, through the use of cues, pose choices, sequencing and story telling. There was also a lot of helpful instruction and practice on offering assists and interesting discussion on alignment. Lots of creative ideas came out of the sessions which continue to benefit my teaching many months later. - Lucy Griffith

Advanced Teacher Training :50 hr Hands on Assists INTENSIVE

Yoga Teacher April 2019: What did I get out of this course? I got more in depth information in the poses itself. As you focus again on different poses my key learning was again what the focus areas are in this pose, where can you benefit doing the pose . Verbally getting somebody into the pose and at the same time guiding this with your hands which emphasizes the elements where to focus on.The course also gives a good insight in how to deal with injuries and how to assist students that are not flexible or having physical constraints in some areas, to let them benefit from a pose. Where to assist them and serve them into a pose. The different ``types`` of hands also helped me to touch student in a more secure way. What is the value for you as a teacher. Deeper knowledge, new experiences and creating more confidence in my lessons. Would you recommend this study to others? For sure! This is a maybe ``must do`` for teachers to have this knowledge and expertise. Even when you don't do assist in your lessons it gives you a lot of extra experience. And I often experience assists myself as a student, which are not beneficial, not safe, or not ``nice`` -

Review of CD: Yoga for Little Ones (on spotify)

yoga teacher for kids-
I love this album so much as a yoga teacher for kids. We use the first song all the time: Hello Shanti. I love especially the part that says, You can give yourself a hug. My heart melts.. and it doesn't matter if they don't speak english as a first language. Kids don't care. Thanks so much.

Yoga Class

Thank you Leah, for teaching me Yoga. Your enthusiasm is contagious! I love the playful yet serious way you teach. When I was in your class, you were always able to see the individual needs of your students, even from the other side of the room. Now, almost five years after I left Amsterdam, I still haven't met any yoga teacher who is half as good as you are. I would consider moving back to Amsterdam just to be able to do Yoga with you again. Whenever I practise yoga and there is a difficult pose, I hear your voice in the back of my head: See what a smile can do for you 🙂 I am forever grateful! Namaste, Justine
